There have been two big announcements from Ubisoft today. First, Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, has confirmed today what only seems natural: A new Assassin's Creed game is in the works and it will be out before 2011 is over. The fact that Ubisoft decided to release a new game for the famous series is not shocking, what is a little bit surprising is that they have been able to do it so soon. The CEO also revealed that the actual game release will be sometime at the end of 2011, but a specific date will be given in May.There was no other information related to the game, aside from the vague release date and that the game will be retail.
Aside from the announcement of an upcoming Assassin's creed, Ubisoft's official forum has also announced that Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood willl finally get a PC release on March 18th. The official post also announced that the USA and certain EMEA countries will be getting the PC release a day earlier, and that although there is no additional content, the PC version will support multimonitor displays, 3D output and graphical detail will be improved.
Assassin's creed has proven to be a success for Ubisoft with three franchises that have been released across the most popular gaming platforms and now we can expect this success to follow on the PC.
